The Silverado 1500 is available with a variety of engines. In fact, Chevrolet offers a total of six different engines in the Silverado for 2020, ranging from a 3.0L diesel engine, all the way up to a 6.2L V8 that makes 425 horsepower. The LT trim offers chrome accents along the bumpers and front grille, LED headlamps, daytime running lamps and a bigger 8-inch touchscreen inside. The RST is one step up from the LT, adding full LED lighting that includes the fog lamps, headlights and tail lamps. Body colored trim and 22-inch wheels are also included.

Like the Custom, the LT is available in Trail Boss form, combining the features of the LT with the off-road suspension and skid plates.

The LTZ trim moves fully into luxury vehicle territory with additional exterior chrome accents, power folding mirrors, leather trimmed seats and lots of interior goodies. The top-of-the-line High Country trim offers a power tailgate, chrome assist steps and a very stylish 2-tone grille design with chrome and bronze finishing.

After a full re-design last year, the Chevrolet Silverado expands its capabilities to more trim levels this year. Its 420-hp 6.2L V8 and 10-speed automatic transmission combo will now be optional on Custom Trail Boss and LT Trail Boss trims. Maximum trailering capacity increases to 13,400 pounds when properly equipped and Chevrolets 10-speed transmission can also now be paired with the 5.3L V8 engine on certain Silverado trim levels. Also new this year is Chevrolets camera-based cruise control offered in LT, LTZ and High-Country trim levels.

The Silverado 1500 has always covered a huge portion of the market, meaning there's always been a wide gulf between the base truck and the most expensive version. Pricing starts at around $29,000 for a no-frills work truck, with prices going up into the mid-$60,000s for models that feature massive towing capacity or for Cadillac-level luxury appointments.
